2020 Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk8 Colours Guide and Prices
The 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk8 has a large range of solid, metallic & pearl colours available at different prices. Check them out in this handy guide!
The 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk8 is the diesel brother of the GTI. Bringing with it all the performance and practicality of the petrol version, but with better running costs if you frequently commute long journeys. The GTD has been an extremely popular hot hatch for some time now and with the recently released Mk8 model update to the Golf range, the GTD has been upgraded substantially.
Powered by Volkswagen's EA288 turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, the 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk8 puts out 197bhp, up from the 181bhp of the previous GTD and has a McPherson suspension setup which makes it fantastic to drive.
The previous GTD model was one of our most leased cars and a common question we were asked was "What colours does the Volkswagen Golf GTD come in?". So we've prepared this guide to help you see what colours are available for the 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk8.
It will come in the following solid, metallic and pearl colours:
- Moonstone Grey
- Pure White
- Atlantic Blue Metallic
- Deep Black Pearl
- Dolphin Grey Metallic
- Kings Red Metallic
- Reflex Silver Metallic
- Oryx White mother-of-pearl
2020 Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk8 Colours and Pricing
Pure White / Solid - £0
Pure White Solid is the Golf GTD's basic colour option and it's free of charge. Pure White Solid is a very noticeable colour and makes it easier to be seen on the roads during day and night. The white also makes the GTD stand out quite well. This colour is free and costs £0.
Moonstone Grey / Solid - £375
Moonstone Grey Solid is another solid colour but this one isn't free, unlike Pure White. Moonstone Grey will set you back £375 but looks the part on the GTD with its darker grey shade. It's also the cheapest cost option and won't break the bank. This colour is a priced solid colour that will cost £375.
Atlantic Blue / Metallic - £625
Atlantic Blue Metallic is an attractive option for the Golf GTD if you prefer blue for your cars. It shimmers especially well in the sunlight and sparkles even during the grey cloudy UK winters. This colour is a metallic colour which will cost £625.
Deep Black / Pearl - £625
Deep Black Pearl is one of the best colours if you're after a blacked-out or stealth Golf GTD. Add in some black alloys, tinted windows within legal parameters and make your GTD the ultimate stealth car! This colour is a metallic colour which will cost £625.
Dolphin Grey / Metallic- £625
Dolphin Grey Metallic gives the Golf GTD a very professional appearance. The grey highlights all of the cars contour lines and makes the shape really stand out, which is something you want to do when driving this car. The grey really gives the GTD a more subtle, casual look which some people do like with their cars. This colour is a metallic colour which will cost £625.
Kings Red / Metallic - £755
Kings Red Metallic is a bright and fiery colour. Previously, this red colour was one of the more popular colours for the Golf GTD. It's obvious to see why, as this red is extremely flashy and really gives the GTD that mean and aggressive look. This colour is a premium metallic colour which will cost £755.
Reflex Silver / Metallic - £625
Reflex Silver Metallic is an attractive brighter option with really makes the Golf GTD stand out. The silver is lighter and darker in certain areas, which Volkswagen have done on purpose to really highlight the sweeping, aggressive shape of the 2020 GTD Mk8. This colour is a metallic colour which will cost £625.
Oryx White Mother / Pearl - £1,040
Oryx White Mother-of-Pearl is the most expensive colour for the Golf GTD, but strangely enough, it's one of the most popular colours! It's fairly common to see GTDs with this colour because it makes the car stand out from the crowd. It's slightly darker than the Pure White colour but it's a reflective pearl type paint, which means the paint is applied as a Tri coat, which is an expensive process.
If you're driving a GTD you want to be seen and to stand out, which means the Oryx White Mother-of-Pearl is a good choice. Just be ready to pay that premium price! This colour is a premium pearl colour which will cost £1,040.
