2022 Audi RS4 Avant Competition Limited To 75 Units

The 2022 Audi RS4 Avant Competition is getting a few tweaks to make it more performance-focused but only 75 units will be available to order in the UK.

Earlier this year, Audi announced they would be bringing the RS4 Avant Competition to the UK. The Competition model offers more performance-based tweaks that enable the car to be pushed to its limits even further.

Audi says that the Competition model will be available to order from September 2022 and will cost £84,600. Deliveries should start being made from Q1 to Q2 2023.

So what does the RS4 Avant Competition offer?

The engine is staying the same as the standard RS4 Avant. It uses a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 that offers 444bhp and 600Nm of torque. Audi has tinkered around with the engine's software and managed to knock off 0.2 seconds from the 0-62mph sprint.

It now can do it in 3.9 seconds compared to the standard model of 4.1 seconds. They've also managed to increase the top speed to 180mph from 174mph.

If you're a fan of hearing your car more (like all car enthusiasts should be), Audi has made the RS4 Avant Competition roar louder thanks to them removing eight kilograms of sound-deadening materials.

They've also added their own exhausts system called the ‘RS Sports Exhaust System Plus’, which replaces the standard RS4 Avant exhaust. 

The dynamics of the drive have been changed to tighten up the car's performance on the roads. Audi says they have given the car the ‘RS Sport Suspension Pro’ chassis, which means they've lowered the car's overall height by 10mm, added three-way adjustable dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars and adjusted the spring rate of the suspension.

The chassis changes are meant to improve the RS4 Avant Competition when it comes to aggressive cornering. Audi says they've given the rear of the car special attention, as the rear axle has been looked at to ensure consistent behaviour when the car is in dynamic mode.

The RS4 Avant Competition comes with a unique metallic paint called 'Sebring Crystal Black' to separate it from the crowd of standard RS4s. It also comes with uniquely designed 20-inch alloys with Pirelli P Zero Corsa premium tyres and red brake calipers. 

In the interior, you get RS sports seats clad with unique Dinamica honeycomb upholstery, which is exclusive to the Competition model. There is fancy red stitching in various places such as the centre console, armrest and the RS floor mats.

You also get a flat-bottomed steering wheel clothed in premium Alcantara, which is unique to the Competition model as the regular RS4 has a round wheel.

Tech-wise, the RS4 Avant Competition features a 360-degree top-down camera, Audi’s multi-coloured LED interior lighting and a fantastic Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound System.
