Golf GTI Performance Figures

The Golf GTI's performance figures are in a nutshell, pretty impressive! What you'd come to expect from the GTI, boasting 245bhp under the bonnet producing a top speed of 152mph.

We used to look on the GTI as something you'd just whizz around country lanes, and whilst that hasn't changed, it's also now a reasonably comfortable motorway cruiser, when you need it to be.

Top Speed: 152mph

0-62mph: 6.2 Seconds

Engine Power: 245bhp

Engine Torque: 370Nm / 273lb-ft

Drive Train: Front Wheel Drive

Golf GTI Economy Figures

Now if you're purchasing the GTI, odds are you're either not too fussed about it's economy figures, or you're accepting it's not going to be a fuel saver.

In reality, it's not, but assuming your foot isn't down 100% of the time, you may actually be pleasantly surprised! Take things easy, and you may see a return in the region of 45-50mpg. However, use the GTI for it's primary purpose... fun, and you can expect considerably less.

For what it is though, 30-40mpg is something you can overlook considering the fun you'll be having! The Golf GTI specs in the economy range are, in a nutshell, reasonable!

Urban MPG: 31mpg

Extra Urban MPG: 51mpg

Combined MPG: 41.5mpg

CO2 Emissions: 155g/km

Fuel Tank Capacity: 50 Litres

Range: 456 miles

Golf GTI Insurance Figures

As you may expect, the GTI certainly won't be in insurance group 1. If that's your priority then you should consider something like the VW Polo.

This model GTI falls into category 33E, which means whilst it won't be the cheapest in the world, you'll pay more for the likes of the Audi A7.

In a nutshell though, if you're of a reasonable age and your licence is reasonably clean, you shouldn't find it too difficult getting a good insurance quote!

Insurance Group: 33E

Manufacturers Warranty (Years): 3 Years

Manufacturers Warranty (Miles): 60,000 Miles
