The Lotus Emeya is Lotus' first-ever electric hyper grand tourer (GT). Slated to begin production in 2024, the Emeya is a 905hp weapon with a unique design.

Lotus has recently introduced the Emeya, their inaugural four-door hyper-GT, in the vibrant backdrop of New York City.

The Emeya is redefining the Lotus driving experience, merging the brand's 75-year legacy of engineering and design with state-of-the-art innovations. The result is an electric vehicle that not only thrills behind the wheel but also performs exceptionally.

This achievement encompasses innovative, active aerodynamic features like the pioneering active front grille, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. Combined with a low centre of gravity that Lotus dubs the 'hyperstance,' these elements enhance stability during driving, setting an unmatched standard in the GT segment for the ride and handling excellence.

The Emeya boasts an electronically controlled air suspension system, equipped with advanced onboard sensors that analyze the road a thousand times per second, ensuring a supremely smooth and supported ride.

The top-of-the-line Emeya model features Lotus' high-power dual motor setup, delivering a top speed exceeding 155mph (250km/h) and an astonishing 0-62mph (0-100km/h) acceleration in under 2.8 seconds, solidifying its position as one of the world's fastest electric GTs.

In terms of actual power, the Emeya comes with 905hp (917 PS) produced by the dual motor all-wheel-drive setup, which offers a max torque rating of up to 985 Nm.

To instil confidence in travellers who like to go the distance, the Emeya offers impressive charging capabilities. With a 350kW DC fast charger, it can add 93 miles (150km) of range in approximately five minutes and boost range up to 80% in just 18 minutes.

Conscious of its environmental footprint, the Emeya incorporates advanced sustainable materials from sustainable sources. This includes a novel luxury thread crafted from repurposed fashion industry fibres, along with the use of PVD aluminium, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics PU.

Ensuring a remarkable musical experience for all occupants, the Emeya will feature an immersive audio system developed in collaboration with KEF. The speaker system, incorporating KEF's award-winning Uni-Q speaker design and Uni-Core space-saving subwoofer enclosure, as well as Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound, promises to elevate music listening to new heights.

"This is a Lotus like you've never seen before. We've built upon Lotus' past accomplishments to create a luxury performance car that inspires confidence, evokes raw emotion, and delivers pure joy - a true connection to the road," affirmed Ben Payne, Vice-President of Design at the Lotus Group.

As a flagship model, the Emeya proudly joins Lotus' lineup of luxury lifestyle electric vehicles, as part of their vision to establish themselves as a global performance brand by 2028. Production is slated to commence in 2024.

Feng Qingfeng, CEO of the Lotus Group has remarked,
