CarFest, the UK's largest family fundraising festival, will offer visitors an exclusive opportunity to experience Volkswagen's latest offerings. Attendees at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire will have the chance to test drive the ID. Buzz 5-seat at the on-site Test Drive Centre and be the first in the country to see the new longer wheelbase variant.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will also be providing a special 'Try Before You Buy' offer for the ID. Buzz 5-seat during the three-day event. The new ID. Buzz 7-seat will be the highlight at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' stand, known as the Buzz Stop. Designed by the acclaimed design duo Craig & Karl, this stand, located at CF2, will undoubtedly catch the eye with its striking design, vivid colours, and a variety of media inspired by the ID. Buzz.
Entertainment for all ages will be available at the Buzz Stop, featuring a live DJ, comfortable seating areas, and a children’s colouring wall. The ID. Buzz 7-seat is set to be a showstopper with its family-friendly flexibility, offering configurations for five, six, or seven seats. All rear seats come equipped with three-point safety belts and ISOFIX mountings for child seats. The second-row seats can slide and recline for added comfort, while the third row, in seven-seat models, is completely removable.
This 7-seat model starts at £59,545 OTR, with deliveries expected to begin later in 2024. It measures 4,962mm in length, which is 250mm longer than the standard version. This allows for an extended sliding rear door that’s 192mm larger, making it easier for rear passengers to enter and exit.
The longer wheelbase enables the installation of an 86kWh battery, delivering a WLTP range of up to 291 miles. This model also offers ample storage, with 306 litres of space behind the third row, 1,340 litres behind the second row, and an impressive 2,469 litres when the second and third rows are folded flat. The adjustable boot floor, or Multiflex board, creates a second loading level and a completely flat area when the rear seats are down, making it ideal for carrying bikes, surfboards, and other family gear.
In line with the rest of the ID. Buzz range, the 7-seat version includes several technological and specification upgrades, such as the latest 'Discover Pro' infotainment system. This now features a larger 12.9-inch screen with enhanced graphics and a faster, more powerful processor.
If you're really wanting to see the 7-seater ID.Buzz, visiting CarFest certainly seems worthwhile. You can buy tickets for the 2024 CarFest event here.
