Skoda Enyaq iV vRS SUV Sets GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Ice Drift

Skoda's all-electric performance SUV the Enyaq iV vRS sets a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD after reaching a continuous ice drift reaching a distance of 4.568 miles.

Of course, 'Longest Continuous Vehicle Drift on Ice' is something that deserves a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD and none other than Skoda's Enyaq iV vRS SUV has claimed the title. Not just one title though, but two, as the Enyaq iV vRS is an electric car. So it claims the 'Longest Continuous Vehicle Drift on Ice (electric car)' title as well.

International drifting judge David Kalas was there to observe the Enyaq iV vRS in its challenge to break the previously set record in 2022 of 3.872 miles. Temperatures around Lake Stortjärnen, located in Krokom, Sweden, were sub-zero level but this meant the best conditions to achieve the perfect drift.

The Skoda Enyaq iV vRS managed to slide around the circular track 39 times during the 15 minutes and 58 seconds of its record-breaking run. It was fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels and studded Michelin tyres and it was a standard production car, meaning there was nothing special about this particular Enyaq iV vRS. 

The Enyaq iV vRS offers 299 PS and a 0-62 mph of just 6.5 seconds from the dual motor 77kWh battery. It also offers 460 Nm of torque, which is impressive given its SUV dimensions. 

The record-breaking Enyaq iV vRS SUV is due to be released in the UK in early Summer 2023.
