The All-Electric Volkswagen ID.7 Now Available To Order

Volkswagen's debut into the realm of upper mid-sized electric vehicles comes in the form of the ID.7, marking the pinnacle of the ID. model range.

Unveiled to the world in April, this sleek and efficient electric marvel has garnered acclaim for its aesthetics and premium features.

The ID.7 Pro Launch Edition leads the charge, setting the bar high with rapid DC charging capabilities of up to 175 kW and an impressive 384-mile range.

Looking ahead to 2024, a larger battery variant is on the horizon, promising charging speeds of up to 200 kW and an estimated range of about 430 miles, enough to traverse the distance from London to Edinburgh uninterrupted.

Driving dynamics take centre stage with the introduction of the cutting-edge APP550 drive unit, boasting the most robust and torque-rich electric drive motor in any Volkswagen ID. model to date, delivering a potent 210 kW (286 PS).

Measuring nearly five meters in length, the ID.7's aerodynamic design, characterised by an elegantly sloping roof and coupe profile, contributes to an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.23 Cd for its size. The spacious interior, resulting from the long wheelbase and short overhangs, ensures ample room for passengers.

Inside, opulence meets functionality with luxurious materials, a serene ride, and effective noise suppression for tranquil journeys. Elevating comfort further are Volkswagen's optional ergoActive premium seats, endorsed by the German Campaign for Healthier Backs.

These seats not only feature innovative massage programs but also incorporate automatic air conditioning and an advanced activation function for muscle groups in the spine and pelvic regions.

Smart features abound, with the ID.7 optimising interior temperature through automatic air conditioning as the driver approaches with the key. Class-leading assistance systems include Travel Assist with swarm data, enabling assisted lane changes on motorways at speeds exceeding 90 km/h, and automatic parking with a memory function covering distances up to 50 meters.

The panoramic sunroof, equipped with smart glass technology, seamlessly transitions between opaque and transparent with a touch. Harnessing the power of natural voice commands, the roof and various functions within the ID.7 can be effortlessly controlled using the new IDA voice assistant.

A head-up display and a state-of-the-art 38-centimetre (15-inch) infotainment operating system, complete with customisable favourite buttons and illuminated sliders for cabin temperature control, enhance the driving experience.
