Volkswagen's Updated T-Cross SUV Now Available In The UK
The latest iteration of the T-Cross arrives with a revamped appearance, upgraded standard features, fresh technological advancements, and an entirely reimagined premium interior.
Externally, the reworked T-Cross stands out immediately with its redesigned front and rear, showcasing integrated LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED tail light clusters.
Volkswagen introduces its IQ.Light LED matrix headlights for the first time in the T-Cross lineup.
The focal point within the new T-Cross is its standalone infotainment display. The standard touchscreen spans 20.3 cm (eight inches) diagonally, while the top-tier variant boasts a 9.2-inch (23.4-cm) display.
The dashboard undergoes a complete redesign, featuring soft-upholstered, high-quality surfaces reminiscent of larger Volkswagen models. This attention to detail extends to the front door trims of the Style and R-Line versions.
The T-Cross has always excelled in offering one of the most spacious and adaptable interiors among compact SUVs.
Its proven user interface, accommodating space for up to five occupants, an adjustable rear bench seat by 140 mm, and an incredibly flexible luggage compartment continue to impress.
When fully seated, the T-Cross provides a luggage capacity ranging from 385 to 455 litres, loaded up to the height of the rear bench seat. Folding down the rear bench seat (60:40 split) creates a flat loading area, offering a storage volume of up to 1,281 litres (up to the height of the front seat backrests).
Volkswagen has bolstered the T-Cross's towbar load from 55 to 75 kg, extending its capability for vertically applied maximum loads on the removable towbar (optional).
This enhancement widens the T-Cross's capacity for towing and transporting items like bicycles, including up to three e-bikes.
The new T-Cross arrives equipped with Travel Assist as standard. Tailoring its speed with automatic acceleration and braking based on traffic conditions and allowed speeds, the T-Cross's Travel Assist can navigate speed limits, bends, and roundabouts within system boundaries.
Simultaneously, Lane Assist aids in maintaining the vehicle's lane. When equipped with a direct-shift gearbox (DSG), the new T-Cross aids drivers in traffic jams with its stop-and-go function.
The significantly upgraded T-Cross now features LED headlights, fresh LED tail light clusters, Dynamic Road Sign Display, the Digital Cockpit, and a new standalone infotainment display across all versions.
All UK-bound new T-Cross models are powered by Volkswagen's reliable and efficient TSI engines.
The T-Cross has solidified its place at the summit of compact SUVs, boasting a staggering sale of over 1.2 million units worldwide within just four years since its inception.
With an annual production average of 300,000 units, the T-Cross, known as Tacqua and Taigun beyond Europe, stands as one of Volkswagen's most triumphantly successful models across the globe.
