The popular Volkswagen Tiguan has been updated with two new engines. The first is a 2.0 BiTDI engine, the second is a 2.0 TSI engine. Read more here.

The popular Volkswagen Tiguan has been updated with two new engines. The first, a 2.0 BiTDI engine with 236bhp, comes straight from the VW Passat and gives the car a 7-speed DSG gearbox. This will take the car from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds, not bad for a family SUV. VW tout this engine as the most powerful biturbo in this segment. Vokswagen Tiguan The second engine is a 2.0 TSI available in Manual or DSG. This engine is borrowed from the Golf GTI, so it will add a much more sporty feel when driving the Tiguan. This engine also reaches 62mph in 6.5 seconds. Both engines will come with 4Motion four-wheel drive as standard, and you will only be able to add them to a Tiguan SEL or Tiguan R-Line model. Volkswagen Tiguan Considering VW only released the new-shape Tiguan models earlier this year, it's nice to see them keeping the range fresh with small updates like this keeping us interested.
